Today, October 7, is the birthday of the barcode. This day would have passed unnoticed except for Google replacing its logo with a barcode, presumably of the word Google. The barcode patent was issued on October 7, 1952, and since then, it has dressed virtually every item on sale for retail purchase.

This is where First Peek Ultrasound comes in.  We feel left out.  We offer a service3D ultrasounds, to be exact.  Pregnant women can come into our studio and see their baby before the baby is born, find out if it’s a boy or a girl, and get their baby’s heartbeat recorded in a teddy bear.  We also offer prenatal massage.  These are all services.   So there is no way that we can use a bar code on anything that we offer, nor do we have a barcode scanner anyway.

Also, because we are a service, we do not charge sales tax

If anyone out there knows of any way we can use bar codes in our 3D ultrasound studio, please put in your comments below.
