How early can I check the gender?

At First Peek Ultrasound, we perform gender checks using the latest 2D and 3D ultrasound technology as early as 15 weeks.

If you are traveling from far or if it is difficult for you to make more than one visit to our ultrasound facility, then we recommend that you wait until you are at least 17 weeks before getting our Gender Check 3D ultrasound package.

If you weigh over 300 pounds, we recommend that you wait until you are at least 17 weeks before getting our Gender Check 3D ultrasound package.

However, if you can't wait to find out if you're having a boy or a girl, First Peek Ultrasound is the right place to go. We will take every step necessary to help determine the gender of your baby as early as 15 weeks.

How likely is it that you can determine the gender on the first attempt

At 15 weeks, we are able to determine the gender on the first attempt 91% of the time.

At 16 weeks, we are able to determine the gender on the first attempt 94% of the time.

At 17 weeks to 19 weeks, we are able to determine the gender on the first attempt 96% of the time.

At 20 weeks and beyond, we are able to determine the gender on the first attempt over 98% of the time.

If you are traveling from far or if it is otherwise difficult for you to make more than one visit to our ultrasound facility, then we recommend that you wait until you are at least 17 weeks.

How accurate is your gender check?

In the spirit of transparency in the accuracy of our gender checks, we plan on publicly displaying our gender check accuracy here on our gender check package page. We hope that other 3D ultrasound facilities across the United States follow our example.

The following includes all customers receiving Gender Check Packages of any gestational age and all customers receiving any other package at or below 17 weeks, where the gender was determined, since January 1, 2010, and is current up to August 17, 2014, a time span which includes over 13,000 gender checks.
